East German Strichtarn Pants
“What in tarnation”
While still heavily influenced by their big brother in the east, the East Germans simply couldn’t help themselves but be German and say “what if we could make our uniforms more complicated for the lols?” So they adopted Strichtarn, contrasting to the dull & gray uniforms from over the wall. The now-iconic “rain” pattern was originally developed in Warsaw-Pact Poland, and became a highly proliferated camo in Czechoslovakia & Bulgaria as well.
While somewhat ineffective as a camouflage outside the Great Plains, (especially compared to DPM & Brushstroke patterns) Strichtarn can work extremely well as a high fashion urban surplus enjoyer camouflage. We guarantee no one will think you are smuggling a PKM in your Gucci bag when you are wearing these bad boys. Famously cheap and destroyable, these are some dank pants that will make you say danke schön to the worker’s party and simultaneously try to convince your friends that yes, a button fly is acceptable in this century.
